Nostalgia in Eastbourne

Today I happened to pop into the station in Eastbourne to pick up some dog tags and I saw a plume of smoke on my approach. I knew this could only mean one thing - a steam train had come into the station.

Apparently (according to my anorak husband), it was the 150th anniversary of the Brighton to Seaford railway. The Oliver Cromwell started its journey at Victoria and travelled to Brighton. From there it went via Lewes to Seaford and back via Lewes to Eastbourne before going on to Hastings. It then completed its journey back to Victoria.
