Veins
Today's blip comes from an interesting light play - the afternoon sun pointing out the veins in the flowers and leaves of this poinsettia.
A native of Mexico, the ubiquitous poinsettia is named after Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States Ambassador to Mexico (as well as being a keen horticulturist), who introduced the plant into the USA in 1825. Apparently, it's the most popular potted plant in the USA. I imagine in many other places too.
