Beccles
The River Waveney at Beccles.
We had set off on a seven mile walk to Geldeston and back, but by about two miles the rain got heavier and the thunderclaps more ominous, so we turned around.
In the foreground is the work boat of R. J. Clark who specialises in riverside maintenance and I suspect the riverside properties on 'Pudding Moor' keep him well employed, everyone has a mooring, boathouse or both.
As we walked back to the car from the quay the rain fell even more heavily. There's nothing quite like the smell of wet dog.
