Yellow Wagtail
Today after the morning ringing session, I put up some nets around the house we were staying in and caught a good number of Yellow Wagtails. They are a confusing bird with a variety of different subspecies which can look very different. This is one of the most distinctive - the Black-headed subspecies. Clever name that.
Another trans Sahara migrant and another that is not doing very well in the UK.
Note the damaged fingernail that I did all of four months ago on my wall-building course - the pain one has to go through for one's art.
