Last Day

For me today it's the last day of our family holidays, and it's been a great one. Back to civilisation again, and Internet access.

So, the holiday .... Fly To Auckland Christmas eve, drive to Cambridge for Christmas day, back to Auckland and fly to Great Barrier Island on Boxing day. 10 days on Great Barrier, then fly back to Auckland, then catch a taxi to Mum and Dads boat, 5 days of fishing, beach barbeques, relaxing, and now back to Auckland and on a plane this afternoon. It might sound busy, but it was pure relaxation, albeit at different venues. What a dream, and how privileged we feel to have access to such great places!

Today we woke again the only boat in a bay at Ponui Island. After a swim to shore with both the kids, we then had a big last breakfast, then headed a little further out for a last spot of fishing, with Dad (pictured) and Hannah catching 2 nice snapper, then back to the marina. And again, in glorious sunny and windless conditions. A fantastic end.

Out to the airport soon, then a lot of organising, including 2500 photos from the last 2 weeks, and a number of back blips. Tomorrow nights job.
