The Meadow Shot
Not exactly a meadow, but close enough. These daisies are growing right by the Wildlife Botanical Garden, in the grassy area by the parking lot. A couple of my Facebook friends thought this might be a good blip choice. So, ta dah, here it is.
I went to the garden today and it was a lovely warm day and the flowers were in abundance. The volunteers were working in their gardens and I talked with a few. Seems, like any open and freely accessed space, they have problems with a bit of crime and civil disobedience. Somebody will come in at night and steal the bird feeders. Bored kids (I assume it would be those unruly teens) come in and switch around the plant ID signs or gather them all up and dump them somewhere, or other such nonsense. These volunteers buy the feeders themselves and some of them aren't cheap. It's too bad that people just can't leave things alone that don't belong to them. But, it's just how things are I guess. I would love to catch them at their nefarious deeds and then make them work in those gardens for a summer.
Off the soapbox, thank you and good night! See ya later.
