By gum it's a lovely day

Today has been hot and sunny. This gum tree probably feels more at home in this weather. Next to the gum tree is a huge ceanothus (California lilac) that has been vibrating with bees, with every branch seemingly supporting two or more bees.

While I was making the raised beds there were bees buzzing around the clover too. I'd like to have my own hives eventually but there's enough to do getting the veggie garden started. Next year.
