At home: Den building....

My dad was a good at building houses. Sam, inspired by Bear Grylls and perhaps with Grandpa's building genes running through his blood sets too on a mammoth den. He's handy with the axe, (supervised of course!) He sets too, coppicing a hazel bush in the garden. Both the boys are keen at trimming the leaf stems off with the axe. They handle it really well. Its a shame that we almost fear our children handling tools like this. The reality is, that just like us they do have an in built survival mechanism, and mostly they don't try to be dangerous.

The glee on their faces at the almost finished den. "Do you think we could sleep in here tonight?" Sam asks. I have seen the weather warning for tomorrow and I doubting the water tightness in the design. Perhaps later........x
