Spring in Winter

I planned to follow up my Autumn in Winter entry from earlier this week. This tiny daffodil flower only opened up this morning, and I laid it on the newly fallen snow.

This morning, I said goodbye to a colleague, who died too young after a long illness. I have much to thank her for. An uplifting service with a reading which has been running through my mind all day :-

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

I feel this photograph sends a message of hope and new things to come, as spring flowers start to appear during what is a hard and cold winter.
