An old Victorian favourite - blanched it tastes a little like celery.
I like it as a flower - silvery, thistly foliage which are topped with a big fat purple thistles which attracts loads of bees.
This is a fab bee garden. Escalonia, chives in bloom, aquilegia and fuschias. It's buzzing.
Love it all and WHAT a day for the garden.
I spent it with the parentals...organising them. They've sold up and move over to me in a month!! All very busy and productive!
