Alton Towers

Headed of early this morning with George, Colette, Eliott, mummy and daddy, for a day out at Alton Towers. It was a glorious day, sun shining, not too hot, just perfect.

We went and explored CBB world to start with so that you boys could stretch your legs and we took you both on a little ride, which I don't think either of you were that aware of.

Daddy and George then went on the newest ride, "Smiler" while Colette and I looked after you boys. You were content walking around, checking things out, totally oblivious to the crowds.

We had a little walk around the gardens and then settled for a lovely picnic. The pair of you were so good, sat on the Mat, mainly scoffing pork pies. A resident goose made you cry because he moved in on your sandwich pretty quickly after you had raised it up to offer it to him. You soon dropped it, he grabbed it and you ran back crying.

After lunch it was mummy's turn for a big ride. It was really exciting!! I loved it.

Both you and Eliott would not go to sleep until we decided to head back to make our way home. So funny, within a few minutes of each other, you were both out for the count.

We were stuck in a fair bit of traffic on the way home, when you were sick, all down yourself. I mopped it up with my cardigan as best as I could but we had to leave you for the rest of the journey, sat in your sick!! So sorry, there was nothing else we could do as there was no where to stop and not a lot we could have done anyway. You were a brave little soul and were soon nibbling on rice cakes and screaming along to row, row, row your boat!!

Quick tea of which you scoffed loads, bath to rid your hair of sick and off to bed by 7.45pm. My special moment was whilst I was putting your nappy on for bed, you grabbed the talc and got a fair bit on you, which you rubbed onto your tummy, then you rubbed some onto my arm, then gestured to my face and ever so gently rubbed some on my cheeks. You did it soooo so gently , it was beautiful. I think you are getting to understand about being gentle! Until someone takes something off you! Still it was amazing. Thank you little boy for showing such tenderness. X
