Lowther Castle - restoration

Lovely afternoon with Liz, over from NZ. It was warm and sunny for a change, we visited Lowther Castle, the first time since they started the restoration work. This is the usual view from the road the photograph above is from the opposite side of the castle, it will be a while before its finished but definitely worth a visit, the gardens are vast and very relaxing. A very nice café on site as well!
Lots of photos to choose from but I liked this, the visitors and gardeners give a sense of size of the place.
