Silaging

I wanted to show the boys in action, so as it was such a warm and sunny afternoon I decided to go to the fields and take some pictures of them working. This is the forager with a tractor and trailer beside it collecting the grass the forager has picked up and chopped. The skill is that the tractor driver must move at the right speed so that the grass goes in the trailer and is not lost over the sides. The skill of Raymond, our forager driver , is to not only keep his focus on driving the machine and making sure that it picks up the grass from the sward cleanly , but also that he is in harmony with the tractor and trailer too. And we women think only we can multi task!! It will be a late one tonight and I am not expecting them back much before midnight.
