Proud as a peacock

We had a drive out today to a place called 'Huntley's', which is well known around where we live, mainly for its ice cream.
I thought it was a garden centre, but it isn't; it's a farm shop, with a restaurant and antiques shop on site too.

We had a very nice lunch there, followed by a wander round the shops. The butchers caught our attention as they had some fantastic looking meats at very reasonable prices. We will definitely go again.

This peacock was wandering around the grounds; it's years since I've seen one...I'd forgotten how majestic they look. He obviously saw he had some admirers so he puffed out his feathers and gave us an amazing display!

From there, we went to The Range. We noticed after we'd done the gazebo last night that the canopy has holes in 4 of the panels; almost like a punch hole, so obviously we want to change it.

The guy on Customer Services wasn't very amenable; he was insisting that in order for us to swap the canopy, we would have to bring the whole thing back to the store. No chance pal!!

Fortunately, the girl from the seasonal department was more reasonable and said if we returned the canopy they would do a straight swap. She even brought the replacement to the customer service desk to show us that it didn't have holes. What it did have were some plastic eyelets (drainage holes) which were obviously missing (and the reason for the punch holes) on ours.

We managed to swap without any issues, so we can replace it on the gazebo tomorrow (weather permitting).

Hopefully, that will be the end of it and we can enjoy it as planned!
