Aysgarth Falls

A fine dining restaurant last night. The food was superb! We're going back tonight. :-)

What a glorious day today! Shorts and T-shirt weather. We drove through beautiful countryside, made even more so by the sun, to Aysgarth Falls on the River Ure. We walked down to the middle falls, then the lower, before doing a circular walk which took us cross country and back to the upper falls (above). Lots of water in the river, much more than last time I was there, so the falls were looking good. This is where they filmed Robin and Little John's fight scene for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.

Back to Buckden for a light lunch, then on to Grimwith Reservoir for a walk around part of it. Managed to catch a few bird in flight photos and a load of geese returning to the water.

Looking forward to another couple of games of cards tonight and another trip to that wonderful restaurant!
