STAXTONBURY 2014

Welcome to Staxtonbury 2014. This is a music festival, local to Scarborough UK, that takes place in a farm field. In this sixth year of operation, there are three days of music. We are yet to attend. It was on our list for this year – but it clashes with that Grand Depart on Le Tour de France in early July – so it will have to wait another year.
As you can see the crowd have begun to arrive already to get the best spot.

On this most important of days – DDAY70 – it is amazing how many stories of heroism – on all sides – is on display. My Dad arrived on Day Two. He worked in a Field Bakery. As they say, an army marches on its stomach !
Oh wouldn’t it be grand, and too simplistic, if all war could be abolished – NOW !
