Fruit Seller
Continuing my Italy adventure!

Day 4
Today we went to the beach. I don't really do the beach but my Mum does and I suspect Fe is partial to catching a few rays. I caught too many as I worked my way through Terry Pratchetts 'Making Money', and ended up with bright red legs. damn being ginger.
The beach was at a 'resort' called Torre Guaceto, although I think we only really touched the corner of it. However on the way back to the car in the 30 degree heat we passed by this chap selling his fresh fruit from the front of his little villa. I suspect he scratches a living from doing so, and as Fe fancied some cherries we stopped to make a purchase. Despite the language barrier he was lovely, and we think he asked what brought English people as far south in Italy as his little small holding. He threw in a peach and only charged three euros for a large punnet of cherries. I wanted to take a shot of someone native to the area and this man fitted the bill perfectly. I'm not great with portraits and such, but I got my one shot before we parted.
Later this evening we went for a drink under the watchful gaze of the cathedral and discovered that an Italian cocktail contains no mixers. We then went for some food where a waiter politely told us we'd 'ordered a lot of food' as we tried to order enough food for a football team.
Then we slept, although I didn't so much given the intense burning in my usually pasty white legs.
