Willen Lake is one of the largest (400,000 m²) purpose-built stormwater balancing lakes in the UK. The lake is designed to take surface run-off from Milton Keynes, the largest of a number designed to do so. - Wikipedia
The lake is split into two areas. One for recreational use and one for birds and wildlife. This is the South lake at Willen where people, sail and wakeboard. It is a very popular place to walk, bring children to play, and to cycle and run.
It’s a very nice amenity to have on our doorstep. There are no disputes over this body of water as there are in the film “Chinatown”. In fact I can’t imagine there being any disputes over water in England...... at least not over the lack of it!!
