Terra Nostra Gardens, Furnas, Azores

After today's meetings we took a bus trip to Furnas valley and the hot springs, but the highlight of the visit was a stop at the Terra Nostra Gardens and the thermal lake.

The gardens were started over 200 years ago and the pool was built in 1780 by Thomas Hickling, the US Consul to the Azores.
