Fuzzy...Times Two

In an effort to decide which camera to take on my October hike...I set off for a walk this morning with my Canon with the 35x zoom.

The zoom part is nice...but could the camera be any slower? It's real frustrating to try to capture any action. But...my nicer camera is heavy, bulky, and I would have to carry both lenses. So, I am in a hiking quandary.

Luckily...these 2 little gosling princes were in the middle of some high quality nap time...posing very nicely. They only raised their heads because Dad/Mom wanted them to be on alert.

I've had to watch a sad story unfold for the last couple of weeks. 10 days ago, there were 6 baby ducklings left without a mother...having to fend for themselves. 4 days ago, there were 3 left. Today? Only 1 left. He/she paddles around the pond...doing that little squeaking sound. So sad to witness.
