On Broombrigg Hill
Local farmers, the Frear family, donated land on the eastern flank of Beacon Hill, for public use. A farm trail takes the walker round a traditional mixed farm with pasture on the upper reaches where the soil is thin and stony, to arable at lower levels where the soil is thicker and better drained. Stone walls and the odd pond for watering animals are still there. The view looks east from the hill, overlooking the Soar valley.
Was mortified to realise that I still have problems with my lenses or camera. Shots continue to be blurred on one side. It had better not be the camera.
