Busy bees

Once again the bees have been cutting circles out of the privet leaves to line their nest holes. For some reason our variegated privet hedge is their favourite target, and i swear every leaf has at least a couple of holes. (not that we're begrudging them a bit of greenery in exchange for their happy summer buzzing, in fact we do feel a bit honoured!)
I like to think of the baby bees all cosy and safe in their multicolured bedsheets :-)
