Newhaven High Street

The centre of Newhaven is now pretty deserted most of the time, with bookies, tattoo parlours and pubs predominating. There are closed down shops in the old fashioned pedestrian shopping centre which gives me the feeling I'd rather not be there at night.

This is how it used to look.

It's a shame; I like the place, the river, the port, the fort etc.
