It's the woody woodpecker show

Okay I know that you are probably getting bored with shots of birds but you must admit that this is rather nice. I was heading out of the office when I caught a glimpse of this little guy enjoying some ants on the verge. I went all the way round the roundabout and pulled over - well away from him - and started messing with lenses. I had to creep across the road to get close enough for a sensible shot and there are probably people who left the car park and saw me with the camera and big lens and wondered what was happening.

Looking for references to Woody Woodpecker I was strangely pleased to find that he and I were born in the same year. Unlike me he then had a new Woody Woodpecker show which ran for a short time in the late 1990s.
