On the way home
This is the Queen Elizabeth the Second bridge over the Thames near London (on the M25). I love the structure of this bridge and you get quite impressive views from it. For anyone who doesn't live in the UK, there is also the Dartford Tunnel next to this bridge. If you are travelling north along the eastern side of London you use the tunnel, if travelling south, the bridge - unless it's dangerously windy, in which case they change the direction of one of the lanes in the tunnel and that is used instead. The bridge is comparatively new, and was built to ease congestion caused by the two lane tunnel. The bridge has four lanes for the traffic.
We got home about 4.30 pm., after a great three days away.
