Caterpillars

I loathe them, its that simple but this will be my second caterpillar on blip (first one here)

In my opinion my first attempt is better than this one in terms of close up and detail. Can any macro Nikon users help me here? It’s not as close as I would like! Do I need a different macro lens? If so, what one?

Hubby is coming home tonight, yay and I am already home, yay! So I am going for a soak in the bath (very girlie) and then get dinner ready. Hopefully if traffic is good for him he should be home by 8.30pm (he left at 6am!)
