A foolish lizard

The big green lizard are normally pretty skittery and don't hang around - not a bad life skill when a lot of things are out to eat you. This one however decided to have a drink in the basin in our courtyard and then couldn't get out of the polished granite. In the end I had to give him a helping hand out of the bowl.
Certainly a bit more spectacular than the drab brown - and rather rare -lizards that we get in the UK.
