Another customers garden

Another few hours of maintenance today spending an hour at each of 3 gardens which we designed and landscaped a couple of years ago. In this garden I opted for simplicity of planting, repeating groups of plants in sizable groups around the borders. This is by far the easiest kind of garden to maintain as all the plants just grow together into a large group.

Jobs today in all 3 gardens including cutting down Camassia stems, cutting back all flowers and foliage on Brunnera and Pulmonaria, and of course weeding. Also chopping back about 1/3 of the height of the Sedums. (Chelsea Chop)

Here is Astrantia Major with Geranium Brookside alongside. At our next visit in 4 weeks time we will cut both of these plants right down to soil level, and within 2-3 weeks they will be back flowering again and looking good until late September or even October.

Tomorrow............. a day off. Been a busy week for a "retired" gardener!
