Cefn Mably Lakes (Horseshoe Lake)

Set in the rolling Welsh countryside Cefn Mably Lakes is a fishing complex situated between Newport and Cardiff and only 5 mins from the M4.

We have 8 lakes in total split between 6 coarse lakes and 2 specimen Carp lakes. Also on site we have the Cardiff Angling Centre our new tackle shop that stocks all the major fishing brands as well as an on-site cafe serving breakfast and snacks all day

The HORSESHOE pond has just undergone a major renovation. Originally constructed in 1993 the lake has matured beautifully. However, over the years the shallows had become overgrown, the banks had eroded and the platforms had disintegrated.
The recent work has rectified all this and it now boasts 20 very spacious large pegs which are lower to water with each one giving something different. The small fish that had started to overrun the lake have been taken out and all the good sized bream, roach, barbel and perch returned.
These along with a fresh stocking of carp averaging 6lb will make this lake a great one to fish for those looking for a mixed bag.
