The bay

I headed out to a hui at tatukai o Te Titi Marae this morning. The Marae (our closest) is in Colac Bay (part of the Oraki Runaka). It was a really good opportunity to get to know the local Runaka and establish community links.
(And yes us Runaka down here not Runanga for the Maori purists who are reading this)
The drive there was beautiful but as I looked back at the crystal clear mountains in Fiordland I realised rain was in its way! And sure enough by this afternoon it had turned dismal.
This shot was taken just before 10am - the darkness is more due to the sun than the actual amount of daylight there was :-)
