Visiting the World

Journey to Victoria

The weather was beautiful this morning - it's so nice to leave these places on a positive, especially when I've liked Tofino so much.

Our first stop en route was for coffee. It was an opportunity to have caffeine and one last experience of the super laid back nature of Tofino inhabitants!

Once we properly got on our way, we stopped at several different places - starting at the Pacific Rim National park, where this picture was taken on Long Beach. It really was beautiful, forest and beach coming together.
Next, Cathedral Grove where you can walk through (and climb on/in/over, according to our guide) huge old trees.
For lunch we stopped at a town that is famous for having goats wandering around on the roofs of the buildings.
Then on to Cowichan town and the Cowichan Valley Trail, where once again, our guide lead us off the path to climb on and over whatever he could find!
The most breathtaking (in both senses) stop of the day gave us a 360 degree view at the top of Mount Douglas (Pkols).
And finally, on the outskirts of Victoria in Oak Bay we visited a harbour which is home to several seals. The ooh-ing and ahh-ing was uncontrollable!

And as if it hadn't been a busy enough day, when we got to Victoria we decided it was time for beers and peanuts at BBJ's!!
