What did I say....

Yesterday's Blip was about being a sleepy head and missing things like rodents in the cats bowls. Well this mornings events was slightly more eventful. This is our outside decking leading into the garden. This decking gets very slippery when it's wet... and the morning had started off so well... cats fed, suit on, bags packed - but no tortoise outside in his pen. After much moaning about having to do it in the rain I put one foot outside, carefully avoiding the 2 hoses we have (why I don't know), and the next thing I know I was flying through the air, whilst holding Fred, landing heavily in a puddle and hurting my arm on the drain pipe (even the blue glove in the corner didn't save me). Happy I was not! Suit covered in dirty water and mud, pride dented and Tortoise no where to be seen. Cue me acting like a 5yr old for 10 minutes having a meltdown. New suit ironed, long wash and a deep breath was in order. And the tortoise? Well he never made it to his pen as he stayed in all day as... it was raining.

The morale of today's story?

Don't go out on wet decking
Question anyone with two hoses
A tortoise's shell is harder than my head
If you want to save money - don't shout at the wife as you'll have to buy doughnuts later on as a peace offering
Always have a spare suit in case of emergencies...
