Gift #34 - Stone Coasters

I recently joined an online site called Yerdle where you can give and receive items using a credit system where no money is exchanged (except for postage). This was my first "purchase" - some handmade stone coasters which I chose because they match our stone table center pieces and they have the famous quote "Keep Calm and Carry On". This was from a motivational poster produced by the British government in 1939, several months before the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the aftermath of widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities. The crown is an icon of the Tudor Crown... So we now have a piece of British history on our dining room table!
