The Da Vinci Code....

...is all explained here. If only we could understand it!

Liz & I went to Roslin Chapel today. It was really great. Incredible architecture. Great descriptions by the guides about what the carvings were thought to be about.

It was really busy - all the Da Vinci Code stuff has made this a very popular attraction.
However, as we were taking our time, we had a long period between coach parties when it was possible to appreciate the place more easily.
Full of atmosphere and mystery. It is quite small, but the stonework is so intricate and well preserved, it takes a long time to see everything and try to take it all in.
There are lots of stories surrounding the place.
The Holy Grail is buried there.
The head of God is buried there.
2 Lay lines cross on the middle of the Chapel.
12 Knights Templar are buried under the place.

This picture is loking directly up to the ceiling, the centre of which has a huge pointer directly above where the Grail is supposed to be buried, and where the lay lines cross.

Anyhoo, it is well worth visiting, but I would recommend an early start while the coaches are still making their way out of the hotel car parks.
