In the Green.
It was wet this morning and still is, but we set off to walk the Strid walk from Barden Bridge near Bolton Abbey. We did this just over a week ago but one of our number couldn't go then so it was a good excuse for doing it again.
Every thing is lush and green as you can see, but surprisingly the water wasn't very high and in the top left you can see the river (Wharfe) with bubbles as it exits the Strid where the water is forced through narrow rocks at either side. S went off with the two dogs for a closer look and said there wasn't a huge amount of water going through.
All the wild garlic flowers have disappeared since I took last week's blip but you can still smell it.
And if you go down to the woods today you will see these fun wooden animals. Three little pigs, the big bad wolf (or just a dog) and a couple of foxes, they are also some reindeer. You can sign up for a day's course to make one of these and get your lunch included too.
Of course we just had to go to the tea rooms for a cream tea afterwards (at 11.00 am) why else would we come!
