Peace
Managed to drag myself away from the computer on Tuesday - help, I even ended up helping the IT group at my Adult Literacy Group on Tuesday morning (is there no respite?) - and went for a walk around Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge in the afternoon. My last visit was back in February and I can say that the place looks much better in the summer sunshine.
One of the features of Drumpellier is the small Peace Garden, in which there is a statue signifying the former Monkland Council's links with various locations round the world. I didn't record the inscription on the plate at the foot of the statue, but it says something like "Statue to World Peace".
