Your Polling Place May Have Changed

Today was Election Day, a primary that wasn't very interesting, as you can see from the turnout at the local fire station. The two people are volunteer poll workers, on hand to facilitate the electronic ballot counting machines. The big yellow elephant in the room is an exhaust hose to be used when the fire engines are running their motors indoors. What I found fascinating is that the volunteer who signed me in had been in the building for several hours and did not even question this very large object hanging in the middle of the room. She thanked me for bringing it to her attention. Luckily there was a guy there who had been clued in by the fire fighters; he was more than delighted to have a chance to share his knowledge. It was a slow day.
