two for the price of one

i couldn't decide

so:

tomorrow i'm going kayaking on the river soar. chances are it could be a little cool. so i have created a masterpiece of winter vegetable soup with added chillies, just to keep it warm you understand. it is bubbling in the slow cooker overnight, making our house smell 'homely'

and

in a couple of weeks time i will be recuperating. that means no work for a while and no riding, paddling or... well anything really.
i've bought a few books to keep me going. this is the first delivery. i chose them after listening to the excellent bike show book special
