Sun in a seed

It's my first time trying to grow sunflowers, so I'm just happily surprised that something is actually sprouting from what I would usually snack on, those little sunflower seeds. That sprouting has to be strong to break through the tough shell of the seed first, than push upward through the soil, with the shell of the seed still attached.
I'd say that's determination.
