Pics from Zone Flâneur

Why I've not been Blipping as much as I should...

It's been tough, but I've been keeping a large number of pics (figuratively) up my sleeve for a while now; I've been wanting to try and find a gallery to hang some of them.

And now, the deal is done (yay!). My very first exhibition - titled Making Waves, opens on 8 August at the Art Works Gallery in Bettys Bay from 8 August to 5 September. I'm hoping to have about a dozen images in the same genre as this on show, plus some other pictures that I've shot on the shoreline in recent months.

This is typical of the images I plan to show; shot this afternoon at Cape Hangklip. The weather has been spectacular, but there is clearly a big storm far out in the Atlantic.

Although you could be forgiven for thinking this was shot looking down, it is actually taken looking straight ahead - the wave probably topped-out at about 5m (15 feet). I got quite wet taking this, but I'm getting used to that by now ;-)

Thanks goodness there are rocks there or it could have been a lot worse.
