The day that the circus hit town

caused road closures, bus diversions and traffic chaos today. On the plus side, it provided free entertainment, brightening an otherwise dull day. My only real criticism was that the main race didn't start until about 1900. I didn't see it, my dinner was calling. So here you have the leaders of the women's race taking the first bend at the bottom of the hill.
My first thoughts were, they're taking this rather sedately. My second thoughts, I would never have had the nerve to take this bend this fast in the wet when I was racing.
