Snow sculpture

Here's the cat I sculpted out of snow, sitting on our garden table and basking in winter sunshine.

Having never attempted sculpture before I have to say I was quite pleased with my efforts. There's a bit of me that thinks it's a bit strange to spend hours making something that will soon melt into nothingness - still, what is life without a little frivolity?

I'd be lying if I said I'm not a little sad at the thought of it melting away, but mostly I feel glad that I did something very enjoyable indeed.
