What's the best thing to do after a lovely long nap? Why, have a lovely long stretch of course.

Charlie is six months old now and he doesn't seem to get any taller, but he does seem to get longer.

Today the decorator boss came round again. (Third time). This time, to assess the damage I discovered yesterday; hundreds of white splatters, stains, smears and marks all over our brand new walnut floor in the bedroom.

Basically, the only lasting impression the decorator made was to mess up our new ££ floor. The wallpaper he put up has to be pulled down and the walls, doors, door frames, skirting board, window and shelves have to be repainted. He even painted wooden shelves with emulsion! Who does that? Even I know you don't do that and I'm a moron.

The decorator boss says he can fix the floor and if he doesn't will pay for a new one. I do not believe they can clean it without ruining it and so this one is going to run and run I think.

Last night Betsy went to bed wearing her, Property of Great Britain Softball t shirt. It's the first time I've seen her wear it in months; I bet she was afraid of tempting fate!
