Italian Chapel

More friends visiting Orkney this week so another chance to do a bit of site seeing ourselves! This is the screen and altar rail in the Italian Chapel, built by the prisoners of war during the second world war.

Usually thronged with folk at this time of year, but luckily a coach load were just leaving as we arrived and there were only one other couple there. There was a small film crew outside though, it's going to be on a new BBC Scotland programme in a couple of weeks time.
