I hate throwing out something because it's broken. Why not fix it, instead.

No, the question mark isn't missing from that last sentence, I'm making a statement. This is the back door catch on our trusty van. It snapped and apparently they do it regularly because lots of people were happy to charge $100 for the privilege of supplying a new one.

No, thanks. Out with the brass, the soldering iron and some epoxy and it's good as new. Cosmetics were never my strong point but what the hell.
