Pawberry

I mean strawberry in the shape of a paw :-)


This is the first of our strawberries, picked today along with four others. It perhaps could have been left one more day to get a little redder but on the other hand I didn't want to share it with the snails, slugs and woodlice who were hanging around close by!!

Must just say........ On the way over the hill in between fields on our way back home an hour ago I had literally JUST said to Pete "it's such a shame we don't see deer here" when I turned the corner 2 seconds later to see a female roe deer in our path!! We were flabbergasted! Then to follow that we then spotted 3 more in the field nearest to our road. We pulled over as we only saw the silhouettes of their heads but they disappeared quickly and taking a photo wasn't an option. Soooo exciting though ;-)
