Culbin Moray.

This is Culbin Sands Wildlife Reserve and consists of salt flats and sand dunes. There is a lot of Thrift growing here giving parts of the area a pink carpet look. When the tide comes in, these all mostly get covered by sea water.
The poles you can see were sunk into the sand during the Second World War. These were to stop the invasion of Gliders from landing on the coast. A lot of the posts were used for attaching Salmon nets to in the past, so as to catch Salmon swimming into the estuary. There are a good deal of Bumble Bees collecting necta from the Thrift.
