The Bridge
It was the Mists of May a tad late today as I woke this morning to a total view of nothing. This was a slightly grey/white nothing and after a short conference with The Bossess The Boss decided to flag walking in the mist and trundle up the Cardrona valley a tad ‘Cos the valley rises as you go up and eventually it breaks out of the Mists of May (Or the Gloom of June) and photo opps abound she said. She is actually very qualified to say this as she travels this road more than The Boss and usually at grrrreat photographic times but with Aeroplanes waiting at the other end so don’t ask her to take pics…OK.
Well we did and it did and it was interesting to note that the local road folk have invented a cunning scheme to stop out of town speed merchants from ignoring dangerous ice notices by declaring the most dangerous stretch of road “Under Repair” with a 30 K speed limit. I thought this was shear brilliance and can testify that it was working a treat but will struggle to do so once the ski season opens ‘Cos those driver are completely bonkers and will cheerfully die in a fiery crash as long as they get a premium car park at the field AND further more do NOT be in their way as they race back to the pubs afterwards. We have a lot of crashes during the Ski season. I am always puzzled with the relationship between sport (endurance, skill etc) and Booze (exactly the opposite). But I am a dog so what would I kno AND we don’t drink alcohol either and only drive cars on special occasions on TV.
Hey Big Barking thanks for your admiration of my curls yesterday. The Boss always finds it upsetting when my curls rate higher than his landscapes. Never mind him…I love it AND it is MY journal …so to bark.
This was an access to a farm property and is crossing the Cardrona River. This area is a flood plain and last time it did this bridge was not visible, in fact neither was the whole valley floor.
