Another bad day

Well the predicted snow fell last night and I spent nearly 3 hours clearing the snow from my driveway. The snow is now almost 10 inches deep and yet more is forecast. A difficult day as I had a power cut from 12.30pm until 8.00pm which really didn't help matters. I think clearing the driveway of snow was my over optimistic thought that I might be able to drive to work tomorrow but I may have to try going in by train (if there are any!).

Why is it that here in the UK we are totally useless at coping with the snow? In Norway, not that far away, they are experiencing temperatures of at least -25C and do they have the problems we have? -of course not!
