Shoes Up High

We had another wonderful day after a cold start. I noticed some street art I hadn't seen before while I was coming home yesterday so thought I must take a walk around and get a few shots. I am trying to document as much street art as I can in Christchurch. After that I made my way back to the other side of the city where I meet Artival, another blipper out taking some shots of the city.

It was really hard to know which shot to put up today.. but decided on this shot as it shows what is left of the 'The former Civic Offices'. There really isn't much left at all now. If you look on the left hand side of the shot behind the red car you can just see what is left of the building. Here is a blip I did on May 6 of the 'The former Civic Offices' and the blip I did April 26. This is what the building was like.

Next to the pop up cafe in yellow on the right side of this shot there use to be a building with a lot of Street Art on it. I did at blip last year on a mural/street art being done, this is the blip. A couple of weeks ago they pulled the building down, so all of the wonderful work has been lost for ever. Here is a shot of the building coming down. This shot was taken when they had just started to work on taking the building down. Here is another shot taken of apart of the detail. Here is a shot of part of the other side of the building. So sad to see this all gone for ever!

If you were wondering about my title.. if you look up into the tree you well see a pair of shoes!
